HON. OLADIPUPO AJIBOLA SWEARS IN NEW IFEDORE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCILLORS, CHARGES THEM TO SERVE WITH DEDICATION

It was a historic and remarkable day at the Ifedore Local Government Secretariat, Igbara Oke as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oladipupo Ajibola, officially swore in the newly elected councillors for the 10 wards of the local government. The momentous event, held at the Legislative Chamber of the Ifedore LG Complex, brought together esteemed political leaders, government officials, party stakeholders, and well-wishers to witness the formal inauguration of grassroots governance.  

In his address, Hon. Ajibola extended warm congratulations to the newly inaugurated councillors and urged them to uphold the trust bestowed upon them by the people. He emphasized that the essence of their election is to serve their communities diligently, ensuring that governance at the grassroots level translates into real and tangible development for the people.  

“The reason you have been entrusted with these positions is not for personal gain but to serve as a bridge between the government and the people,” the Chairman remarked. “Your constituents have placed their faith in you to represent their interests, address their concerns, and bring positive transformation to Ifedore. This is a call to serve, and I charge you to discharge your duties with integrity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the progress of our local government.”  

Hon. Ajibola further emphasized the need for cooperation among the Executive, the Legislative Council, and the administrative staff of the local government. He stated that harmonious collaboration is the bedrock of sustainable development and called for unity among all stakeholders to drive Ifedore LG towards greater heights.  

In the Legislative Council, RT. HON. OLUYI WASIU ADEKUNLE emerged as the Leader of the 8th Legislative Session, while HON. YUSUF TUNDE TAJU was named Deputy Leader. The Chairman expressed confidence in their leadership abilities and urged them to steer the council in a direction that prioritizes good governance and community development.  

The event witnessed the presence of the Ifedore LG Executive Vice Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Biola Ijimakinwa ; key government functionaries, other party leaders, traditional rulers, security personnel, and a host of dignitaries. Also in attendance were family members, friends, and well-wishers who came to celebrate with the newly inaugurated councillors.  

In his closing remarks, Hon. Ajibola expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support for grassroots governance in Ondo State. He reaffirmed his commitment to working with all councillors and stakeholders to ensure the people of Ifedore enjoy the dividends of democracy.  

“I believe that together, with shared vision and determination, we can drive Ifedore to a new era of prosperity. Let us work hand in hand to build a local government that truly reflects the aspirations of our people,” the Chairman concluded.  

The swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter in the leadership of Ifedore Local Government, setting the stage for impactful governance and community-driven development.
